I first started Djing in 1991 due to my love of the ‘rave’ scene and the music associated with it. My mentor at the time was Gee-mix, who taught me how to mix, build a set and read the crowd so that I had a good a good understanding of getting people dancing and keeping them on the dancefloor.
I started off playing hardcore but my tastes changed with the scene and I was soon buying garage and house music. It was these genres of music that got me my first club sets with Karanga, at the pavilion in Bath around 1994. Initially I always played the warm up sets, but by 1996 I was playing before, during and after the likes of Judge Jules, Jeremy Healy and Paul Oakenfold, to name a few. Working with names like these meant that I started to play for other clubs all over the South West, Wales and even Ibiza.
More recently I have been a resident at Metripolis (Moles, Bath) with Tom Maddicott. Normally I play vocal house, funky house and tech house. Sometimes I play break beat with a little Hip-Hop thrown in for good measure, at the start of the night.
